Title Registers and Title Plans are the two main title documents of a property and are often referred to as the Property Deeds or House Deeds.
An official copy of the Title Register provides official evidence of ownership, and reveals all rights and burdens affecting the property and its ownership; such as covenants, easements, maintenance liabilities, lease agreements and mortgages. It also reveals the purchase price, its unique Title Number, details of previous conveyances and transfers, and a wealth of additional property related information.
A Title Plan reveals information on the boundaries and shows the extent of the property owned. It also indicates maintenance responsibilities, covenants and rights of access by markings and colours. Markings and colours used in the the Title Plan are described and explained in the Title Register.
